Apply the oil to your skin and massage in long strokes. For a more comfortable experience, massage from the heart and outwards, rather than toward the heart. Alternate gentle strokes with firmer strokes and higher pressure, making sure to release any tension in the muscles.

For an enhanced experience; warm your massage oil in a double boiler before applying it to your body. Pour the oil you intend to use into a small cup and place it in a bowl with some hot water for five minutes. Warm tap water around 45 degrees Celsius will do. This will also release some of the essential oils into the air, creating a wonderful atmosphere with your chosen scent.
